A passionate advocate for country music, Rob Potts envisioned an event that would connect Australian audiences with the rich traditions of the genre, somewhere fans could immerse themselves in the music and camaraderie that defines the country community, bridging the gap from Australia to Nashville.

Alongside Potts, renowned concert promoter Michael Chugg brought his extensive experience in live entertainment, helping transform that vision into a world-class festival. Together, their dedication, innovation and unwavering belief in country music laid the foundation for what has become a landmark event on Australia's live music calendar.

Today, CMC Rocks stands as a lasting tribute to their legacy, an internationally respected festival that continues to showcase the world's biggest country music stars while fostering the vibrant community that Potts and Chugg set out to create.

Two decades on, CMC Rocks QLD continues to deliver an incomparable lineup year on year, featuring international artists such as Luke Combs, Taylor Swift, Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Cody Johnson, The Chicks and many more, alongside local talents like Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley and Lane Pittman. The unique on-ground festival experience includes one-of-a-kind bars - Big Time Charlie's and Nifty's Sports Bar, Honky Tonk Stomp line dancing, the incredible Songwriters Show, a moment on the stage for the audience with Live Band Karaoke, plus so much more.
