Rolling into CMC with the whole crew? Cowboy is where you can really make yourselves at home.
Located at Queensland Raceway, Cowboy is our furthest campground from the Festival, with the Festival Shuttle Bus getting you to and from the action.
It’s also home to our Class D Hardstand powered sites – huge 12m x 6m sites with room for up to eight people and two vehicles. Just remember, these sites are hardstand rather than grass, so weights are required instead of pegs.
Best for: Bigger crews, bigger setups and Rockers who don't mind jumping on the shuttle to get to the Festival.
COWBOY Campground has a designated accessible camping area and amenities in the HARDSTAND area only. Noting it is located furthest from the Festival Site, you will need to catch a Festival Shuttle bus to and from the festival each day. Not all Festival Shuttle buses are accessible.

Whether you’re keeping things simple or rolling in with a bigger setup, Denim gives you the flexibility to camp your way.
Located within Willowbank Raceway, choose from Class B (6m x 6m) unpowered sites, or size up to Class C (8m x 6m) and Class D (12m x 6m) powered sites when you need more room for your crew and setup.
Denim is also the home for all hired or pre-delivered campers, caravans, motorhomes and RVs, with Class C or Class D sites available depending on the size of your setup.
Walk to the Festival or jump aboard the campground tractor shuttle, then head back to Denim when you’re ready to call it a night.
Best for: Flexible site options, larger setups and anyone hiring or having a camper, caravan, motorhome or RV delivered to site.
Having a hired setup delivered?
If your hired camper, caravan, motorhome or RV is being pre-delivered to the Festival, it must be booked into Denim Campground on either a Class C (8m x 6m) or Class D (12m x 6m) site, depending on the size of the setup. Pre-delivered setups cannot be accepted into any other campground.
DENIM Campground is mainly unpowered and does not have designated accessible camping areas or amenities.
Class B Camp Site
- 1 vehicle only (this includes 1 x Car or 1 x Caravans, 1 x Camper Van, 1 x Trailer, 1 x Roof Top Camper).

All campgrounds are in and around Willowbank Motorsports Precinct.
Ace, Buck, Denim, Eagle and Fox campgrounds allow you to walk or hitch a ride on the tractor to the Festival.
Cowboy Campground is just down the road at Queensland Raceway - use the Festival Shuttle Bus for easy transport between the Campground and the Festival site.
A range of powered, non-powered, standard and pre-pitched sites are available. Not all campgrounds include all camp site types. Check out the Campground Map here.
BEING PART OF THE CMC CAMPING COMMUNITY – PLEASE REMEMBER
CMC Campgrounds are all about top-notch setups and good vibes. Let’s keep it that way! A few simple points to keep things running smooth:
- Stay within your Camp Site boundaries – make sure the equipment you’re bringing fits within the Camp Site size you’ve bought (details below). Each time a Camper takes up their neighbours space, it impacts another CMC Camper.
- Be aware of your power use – turn an appliance off before you turn another appliance on. Spread the power load out through the camp site. If you charge your phone, run the air fryer and the fan/air conditioner all at the same time, you’re likely to trip the power out for you and your neighbours.
- Follow the directions of our Camping Rangers, Security and Event Team at all times. They’re there to make sure everyone has a safe and fun experience.
- Keep it quiet from midnight. Turn tunes and generators off between midnight and 7am so everyone can rest up.
- Leave no trace - take your gear and rubbish with you when you go.
- Respect your mates - no wandering into other camp sites unless you're invited.

camp site sizes & pre-pitched tent sizes
Camp sites have changed – there are different types, names, measurements and inclusions from previous years. These changes have been made to better fit everyone’s gear.
Measure your rig before you arrive — sites are already marked out, and measured to the exact size included below. Each time a Camper takes up their neighbours space, it impacts another CMC Camper. If you don’t fit within your camp site size, you may be asked to leave. Our campgrounds sell out each year, and we don’t have much room to move with re-homing campers who don’t fit their chosen site.
Having a hired setup delivered? If your hired camper, caravan, motorhome or RV is being pre-delivered to the Festival, it must be booked into Denim Campground on either a Class C (8m x 6m) or Class D (12m x 6m) site, depending on the size of the setup. Pre-delivered setups cannot be accepted into any other campground.

what is considered a 'vehicle'?
For camping purposes, a Vehicle is any registered vehicle, caravan or trailer that is designed to be driven or towed on public roads. Each is counted as one (1) Vehicle when determining the Vehicle limit for your CampSite.
Vehicles include, but are not limited to: cars, caravans, campervans, camper trailers, box trailers, horse floats, RVs/motorhomes and trailers.
Boat trailers are not permitted.
Vehicle movement
There is no vehicle movement allowed at all in the Campgrounds and/or in the Overflow Car Parks once a vehicle enters through the respective processing gate and is parked up at the Camp Site or in the Overflow Car Park.
Vehicles can only leave or be moved between one of the following two time approved Departure Time periods at the end of the Festival:
Between 9:00 pm (AEST) Sunday 21 March 2027 and 10:00 pm (AEST) Sunday 21 March 2027 via Paynes Road only.
OR
Between 6:00 am (AEST) Monday 22 March 2027 and 12:00 midday (AEST) Monday 22 March 2027 via all approved Campground exits. Noting departure between the 6:00am – 9:00am will be restricted and staggered by Festival Traffic Marshalls with support from Festival Security and Queensland Police.
Breach of this condition may result in your eviction from the Festival Site and Campground for the remainder of the Festival. If you are evicted for breach of this condition you will not be entitled to any refund for your Festival Ticket or Camp Site Camping Ticket.

Don’t fancy the walk to the Festival from your camp site? No worries! Jump on the tractor shuttle in the Ace, Buck & Denim Campgrounds or hop on a *Campground Bus Shuttle Loop Service for Cowboy Campground.
*Some Cowboy Campground Shuttles are accessible.
accessible camping
The Campgrounds are located within the Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich Kart Club and Queensland Raceway precincts, and predominantly consists of large grass fields with some bitumen and/or unsealed gravel roads. Please note that accessible facilities are not available at every CMC Rocks campground.
We recommend booking ACE, BUCK, or FOX Campground.
- ACE Campground is the most accessible to the main Festival Site.
- BUCK Campground is most accessible to the Tailgate precinct on the western side of the Festival Site.
- FOX Campground is most accessible to the Tailgate precinct on the eastern side of the Festival Site.
If you’re booking COWBOY Campground, be aware:
- COWBOY Campground offers only limited accessible amenities, and is located furthest from the Festival Site, you will need to catch a Festival Shuttle bus to and from the festival each day. Not all Festival Shuttle buses are accessible.
If you’re booking DENIM or EAGLE Campground, be aware:
- DENIM Campground is unpowered and does not have accessible camping or amenities.
- EAGLE Campground does not have accessible camping or amenities, and is located
If you would like to Camp in one of the dedicated Accessible areas, the process is:
- Secure your Camp Site purchase in your chosen Campground (noting the Festival recommends ACE, BUCK and FOX).
- Apply for an Accessible Camp Site to be reserved for you via the Accessibility form here. (please note you will need your AXS ticket number to apply.)
CMC can only accommodate patrons with accessibility requirements on their own Camp Site and cannot guarantee friends can camp nearby due to the nature in which the Accessible Camp Sites are allocated in each of the Campgrounds.
FOOD, WATER, Bars & ICE
- BYO food and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Food and coffee vendors are available in each Campground (more inside the Festival).
- A General Store is located in the Tailgate precinct of the Festival site from Wednesday 17 March – Sunday 21 March for a variety of items – groceries, personal care, Brekky BBQ packs.
- Campground Bars will be operating across Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 March in selected Campgrounds.
- Ice is available, and charged at $8.00 per bag.
- Free drinking water stations.
- No direct water access to individual sites.
POWER, GENERATORS & GAS COOKERS
Generators:
- Must be off between midnight and 7am.
Gas Cookers:
- Must follow safety rules:
- Use only in well-ventilated spaces.
- Flame must burn blue.
- No spare cylinders inside tents or vehicles.
- No refilling of gas canisters.
- Leaks must be reported immediately.
Camping Rangers and / or Security Guards may inspect equipment.
TOILETS, SHOWERS & DUMP POINTS
- Shared toilets, showers, and hand wash stations in all Campgrounds.
- On-Site Sewage Waste: Sewage Waste can be dumped in the toilet amenities at each Campground, See your local toilet fairy for assistance. Patrons need to carry their own blackwater / greywater to this tank. Do not dump blackwater / grey water on the ground.
- Off-Site Sewage Waste: If you’re on a longer holiday, dump your waste BEFORE arriving at CMC Rocks QLD. Off-site dump sites are located at Ipswich Showground and Laidley Dump Point (John Street).
ON-SITE SERVICES
Ranger Huts:
- Each Campground has its own Ranger Hut and a dedicated crew to look after our campers. Rangers will be in hi-vis, and are there to answer questions, provide info and additional garbage bags. A Campground Map will be released closer to the festival, showing all customer service points.
Medical:
- Is on site at the Festival from Wednesday 17 March – Monday 22 March.
- For medical assistance in the Campground, contact the closest Security Guard, Camping Ranger, Event Team member, or contact the Patron Text Line on 0482 082 812.
- In a life threatening emergency, call 000.
RUBBISH, recycling & SUSTAINABILITY
- Rubbish Bags are provided on entry. If you need more during your stay, visit your Campground’s Ranger Hut.
- Drop full garbage bags at the end of your row.
- Use green bins for recycling.
- Containers for Change — 10c per eligible container supports CMC’s nominated charities.

Located in the Festival’s Tailgate precinct and trading from Wednesday 17 March – Sunday 21 March, The General Store is there to keep everyone stocked with camping and festival essentials. From toothpaste, insect repellent, and hand sanitiser to a range of tasty treats, and brekky BBQ packs, it's your one-stop shop for everything you need to enjoy a hassle-free and fun-filled weekend.

arriving at the campgrounds
opening hours – know your time
All Campgrounds - Ace, Buck, Cowboy, Denim, Eagle and Fox - open at 9:00am on Wednesday 17 March 2027.
Campground Operating times are listed below, you won’t be able to arrive at the Campgrounds outside of these hours.
know your roads
Avoid shortcuts like Higgs Road and Wilkes Road, they don’t connect to Paynes Road. Mt Hines Road has a creek that vehicles can’t cross. All vehicles must enter via Goebels Road.
self drive
Only drive in once the Campground gates open. There is no camping or parking on Paynes Road in the lead-up to the gates opening. It is a designated clearway, and authorities will be on location to issue fines and move patrons on. camping patron drop off area
(This is for patrons who won’t have their vehicle on their camp site and are arriving in an uber, taxi, bus or being dropped off by a friend/family member).
You can’t get dropped off directly at your Campground or at the Camping Box Office.
You will need to follow signage to the Festival’s Pick Up/Drop Off area (located at Albert Theaker Park) first to grab the Campground Bus Shuttle Loop Service to take you to the Camping Box Office.
Once you’re at the Camping Box Office, you’ll have your tickets scanned, you’ll receive your wristbands and the shuttle will take you directly to your Campground.

1 x CAMP SITE TICKET
- Your ticket will show your selected Campground and Camp Site type (e.g. Ace Campground, Class C).
Only one (1) Camp Site Ticket is issued per site, allowing entry for the approved number of vehicles for your Camp Site type only to park at the Camp Site (except for Class A, where vehicles are not allowed in the Campground. If Class A ticketholders have a vehicle/s, you must purchase a Camping Overflow Car Park Ticket for Eagle Campground Overflow Car Park. You will need 1 x ticket per vehicle).
1 x CAMPGROUND ENTRY TICKET
- Each person must have one (1) Campground Entry Ticket to stay in the Campgrounds.
1 x FULL FESTIVAL TICKET
- Each person must have one (1) Full Festival Ticket to stay in the Campgrounds.

You’ll go through a vehicle check, ticket scan and wristband issue all at the main vehicle entry gate for each campground. AXS and CMC Rocks are working to make your entry as seamless as possible, with just one stop between arriving and heading to your site.
Remember, if you want to camp together with your friends, you need to all arrive together (and have purchased the same campground and camp site ticket type).
overflow car parking
- Each Campground has an Overflow Car Park.
- Each Camp Site type has a maximum number of vehicles allowed on it.
- For camping purposes, a Vehicle is any registered vehicle, caravan or trailer that is designed to be driven or towed on public roads. Each is counted as one (1) Vehicle when determining the Vehicle limit for your Camp Site.
- A ‘Vehicle’ includes: Car, Caravan, Camper Van, Camper Trailer, Box Trailer, Horse Float, RV/Motorhome, Trailer. Noting Boat trailers are not allowed.
- If your group is travelling with more vehicles than what the Camp Site allows, you'll need to buy an Overflow Parking Ticket for your specific campground from AXS for each additional vehicle to park for the duration of the Festival. For e.g. if you have a camp site in Ace Campground, you need to buy an Ace Campground Overflow Ticket.
- You can drop off your belongings at your camp site then head directly to the Overflow Carpark.
- Once Overflow Parking Tickets sell out, you'll need to arrange alternative parking - this may include parking off site and catching a Festival bus or coordinating with friends to arrive in one vehicle.

- All sites are allocated by Camping Rangers on a first come, first served basis, unless the camp site is sold as reserved which will be allocated at the time of purchase. In 2027, The Glampstead will be sold as reserved.
To camp together:
- Purchase the same camp site type and size in the same Campground.
- Arrive together (including any vehicles staying on the site) at the same time.
- Follow the Camping Ranger’s directions to get in fast.
festival operating hours
- You have access to the Tailgate Precinct on the Festival site.
- It opens 4:30pm Wednesday, 17 March 2027, and 12:30pm Thursday 18 March 2027 - be one of the first to pull up a stool at Nifty's Sports Bar, hit the dancefloor at Big Time Charlie's, grab your Merch, score new releases at the Music Shop. The main Festival site opens from 9:30am on Friday 19 March 2027.
leaving the campgrounds
We strongly encourage our campers to delay departure until after 9:00am on Monday morning.
